How to Monitor Uptime for Your Webflow Websites in Real-Time for FREE

PLAY

I want to go over a really quick and awesome tool that I use to track the uptime of all of our Webflow sites across the board. And it is a free tool for up to 50 websites, you can use to monitor your work.

So first things first, I’m going to be quick with this, don’t do fluff. www.uptimerobot.com is the URL, you can sign up, it’s free. Then what you’re going to do is go straight to your Dashboard.

Now what you can do is you can add sites in here to be able to monitor their uptime. Now with the free version, you can monitor up to five-minute increments. So if your site goes down, you get an instant notification letting you know what happened, and then you start to resolve that issue.

Add Monitor to a Platform

So one thing I’ve seen with Webflow is the uptime is insane. The servers are on AWS, so you’re not going to get much downtime. If you do, it might be for a few seconds.

But ultimately, you can see a lot of these sites are 100% uptime. And you’re seeing ones with like 99 or 98, some of those are actually WordPress sites, which is a story for another day.

But ultimately, to add a monitor to this platform, let me zoom out a bit so you can see a little bit better, you’re just going to add to monitor, you’re going to hit the website, let’s just do Google, for example. And I’m going to https://google.com.

And then you can kind of change this interval.

Set Up Monitor Interval

Now keep in mind, the free version lets you do five minutes. And that’s more than enough. We have about maybe 30 sites that we’re monitoring, and that’s more than enough time for us.

So I’m going to put it in five minutes. I’m going to select this to add that alert. And then I’m going to create that monitor.

Tracking Uptime

So for onboarding for clients, what we do is we set up our UptimeRobot, we set it up to the client email and our email as well and that we were instantly notified if a website goes down for any reason. This is a great way to track your efforts.

And as you can see here, I’ll click one of our websites, it’ll show you the details. Essentially, uptime last 24 hours has been 100%. It’ll tell you when it went down, how long it was down, and any issues you’ve had along the way.

So set this up for your agency, your company, your personal sites, and I hope this helps in your journey. I wish you all well.
