Today, we’re diving into virtual curated journeys—how museums and art houses can level up their online experience and bring in more visitors. Over at 5Four Digital, we’ve been working with dope institutions to build digital experiences that get people excited to explore art, history, and culture, whether they’re down the street or across the world.
Back when COVID hit, everything changed. People couldn’t visit physical spaces, and museums had to figure out new ways to keep their audiences engaged. We stepped in to help museums like MOAD and Miami MoCAAD bring their exhibits online in a way that wasn’t just functional—but actually immersive and engaging.
For Miami MoCAD, we built out a long-form landing page showcasing some of Miami’s dopest street murals. But we didn’t just slap some images on a page. We made it interactive, letting visitors click through different parts of the mural to reveal hidden details and facts about the artwork. We also added a QR code system, so you could scan and explore the murals in real time from anywhere.
One of my favorite features was the 360-degree artist view, where you could see the artists in their element, creating in real time. And of course, the whole thing was built for desktop, mobile, and tablet, so people could experience it however they wanted.
A website isn’t just about looking at art—it’s about experiencing it. That’s why we went big on storytelling and interactivity.
For the mural pages, we added a feature where visitors could click on hotspots to get insights into how the artwork was made. Then, we took it a step further by embedding artist interviews directly into the site using YouTube and Webflow’s CMS. That way, people weren’t just seeing the art—they were hearing from the artists themselves.
It’s that kind of real connection that turns a static website into a living, breathing art experience.

Using VR and 360-degree walkthroughs, we gave visitors the ability to explore museum spaces just like they would in real life, zooming in on artwork, reading artist insights, and getting that full immersive experience.
This was a game-changer for people who live out of state and can’t visit in person, art lovers who want a preview before buying a ticket, and schools and educators looking to bring museums into the classroom. Basically, we made it easy for anyone, anywhere, to step inside a museum without ever leaving home.
A dope website isn’t just about looks—it needs to be functional.
For MOAD San Francisco, we focused on clean navigation. Museums have a ton of content—exhibitions, events, memberships, donation pages—you name it. We needed to make it simple for visitors to find what they were looking for without getting lost in the clutter.
We built the site using Webflow’s content management system (CMS) and set up smart exhibition pages. Here’s the cool part: if an exhibition ran from January to March, the website automatically moved it from "Upcoming" to "Past Exhibitions" when it ended.
That meant the museum kept an archive of past exhibits without losing SEO value, visitors could look back at older exhibitions whenever they wanted, and the site stayed fresh and up to date—without extra manual work. It was a win-win for the museum and its visitors.
