So, I want to go over this really quickly because I am a huge fan of Webflow, which is a content management system website builder, like no other. So a lot of times you have bloat with a website. So if you’re using a platform like WordPress or another platform that has a lot of plugins, there are things that make and bog down your website.
Now with Webflow, there are three things that you can do to speed up the already superfast servers there at Webflow, I’m going to show you how to do that in under 60 seconds.
You ready?
So, first thing you want to do is to go here, you’re going to go to the interactions panel, and you’re going to hit Cleanup.
Now the great thing is, if you had any interactions that aren’t being used on your website, maybe ones that you’ve created and aren’t being used on the current pages, they will show up here. So when they show up, all you do is hit Delete Unused, and it will clean up any of those interactions that are taking up space on your website and completely remove them.
Now step two is you’re going to go to Style Manager and you’re going to clean up all of these page elements that aren’t being used. So let’s say you create an element on a page, then end up using it, it’s still on your website. So what Webflow will do is it’ll organize all those styles and all those page elements into one area, and you can go ahead and remove them.
Now if you do run into any issues, which you most likely won’t, you can always go to the last backup of your website. But ultimately, you’re going to go here, and you’re going to hit Remove and boom, done. So now clean up, there’s nothing there.
Now the last thing you could do to help speed up your website is your images set up lazy load. So that means the images load as you scroll the page, as opposed to when you visit that specific page and everything loads up and slows down that processing time. So all you do is hit this image. I’m going to go to settings and instead of auto, I’m just going to lazy loads on scroll.
And then I’m going to hit Publish and boom, done. So those quick three easy steps you can implement anytime on your site to clean it up, make it load fast, and I hope this was helpful. I will see y’all soon.
